DIRECTOR'S NOTES ON THE THEATER SHOW STALKING BASED ON THE BOOK OF THE HOMONY BY ANTONIO RUSSO

The masterful pen of the author Antonio Russo has once again drawn its tip into a social plague that is increasing more and more. In this artistic masterpiece, through the true testimonies of women raped in every sense, physical, mental and emotional, Antonio Russo calls out the denunciation of a heinous crime against the person which brings unspeakable and often permanent consequences. Applause to the publisher (I Quaderni del Bardo Edizioni di Stefano Donno) who courageously publishes this important work in order to continue to fight against this social plague. Under the careful direction of Filippo Bubbico, the actors, professionals of excellent artistic quality, move not without difficulty through terrible emotions and sensations, which could not be otherwise, in the identification of these people who really suffered all this violence. Francesca Brandi promoted the book by presenting it in various venues and, for the occasion, lent her artistic acting talent to interpret some scenes of the show itself. In the cast we find Romina Bufano, who with her energy gives her invaluable contribution to the success of the pieces and Arianna Cigni, who has always made her body an expression of life and who manages, through even extreme movements, to communicate all the devastation that a raped woman can suffer. who with his extraordinary masks identified himself with some men "insane bearers of evil" and Oreste Di Salvo who, "wearing" a painful role for any just man, plays "males" ( they cannot be defined as unscrupulous men, who dedicate themselves to "oversight" and oppression, initially psychological, but then physical, towards women. The director also plays some scenes trying, both himself and through the actors, to express with maximum force his denunciation of a behavior that almost always leaves indelible marks on the person who suffers it. The show also wants to denounce any form of violence, abuse and oppression towards similar others.

A food for thought and an invitation to report, to try as soon as possible to stem this criminal phenomenon, which is increasingly increasing in Italy.
