Art - Healing !

At the movies I weep, At the theater I laugh, In the museum I dream,

While reading, I lose myself at last.

When I write, I relive,

When I dance, I’m free,

When I sing, I say who I am,

In creating, we all unite.

In the dark, with the scent of popcorn, I let my tears softly fall, Gently lifting the weight from my soul.

In the stands, my neighbors’ laughter is like a warm, divine cuddle for the heart.

In the museum, with hushed steps and whispers, sidelong glances, I let the past gently sway me.

While reading, I wander through a maze of emotions—joy, laughter, fear—things I could never forsake.

When writting, I’ve felt such shame! I wanted to quit so many times, Yet I cherish these notebooks, once cursed, that kept me alive.

When I dance, life pierces me with joy, My body’s movements are a treasure of comfort and grace.

When I sing, I try to be the woman I’d like to be, All my facets weave and unwind through the notes and my fingertips.

In creating, I connect to life, to those who nourished it before me,

And to those who will carry it on when I’m gone.
