Mohamed Rahal "The Melodious Heritage of Folk Music in International Media"

The Melodious Heritage of Folk Music in International Media

Rakrouki, Srawi, and Bedouin melodic folk poetry have always been among the most well-known melodic folk poetry styles due to their deep roots in the customs and traditions of the people, in addition to their widespread popularity, which is due to their melodic value.

I will attach a specific genre to each article, such as Rakrouki, Melaliya, and others, and I will begin with my own excerpts from poetry nights, then festivals I have participated in, such as the National Festival of Bedouin Folk Song and Poetry in Al-Hawair, festivals in Tunisia, and all the friends and poets I have spent nights with and participated in.
#Rakrouki: One of the most famous styles of melodic poetry.

The word originates from the Rkarka people. This style is characterized by its distinctive melodies and is often sung. Often performed in private gatherings, this style has a rare musical language, rarely heard in traditional music, and its heartfelt melodies take you back to a beautiful past, reminding you of the customs and traditions of your ancestors.

This will be published internationally, and just as Algerian folk heritage is internationally publicized in countries like India, Italy, and Spain, the melodic folk music heritage will be internationally publicized, translated, and introduced. I will begin with
#Mellalia_Popular: Considered the first of its kind in oral folk poetry, this style distinguishes itself from other well-known styles such as Tarq, Rakrouki, or the popular Srawi. Its lyrics are taken from folk poetry and accompanied by beautiful melodies. This style has many variations, including Melalia Aifiya, Melalia Barat, and Melalia Habida, all characteristic of a region rich in melodic poetry traditions.

#Abidi_Folk_Heritage because it was the first heritage to be recognized.

#Srawi: One of the most famous poetic styles in western Algeria, this style is distinguished by its unique melodies that make it the most popular. It is always accompanied by a qasba (a type of flute). Yes, Melalia and Rakrouki include the qasba, but it can be omitted, whereas in Srawi... the melodic instrument of poetry is a fundamental requirement.

Intervention by the head of the Al-Jarf band: Tayeb, on the Third News Channel, accompanied me at the 14th National Festival of Bedouin Popular Song and Poetry in the capital of the Ouarsenis region, Tissemsilt.
