May rises slow against the skin,
a warm insistence in the air,
the world leans in, inviting sin,
and every breath becomes a dare.

Light spills like fingers on the floor,
soft, deliberate, seeking mine
your shadow presses at the door,
a promise shaped in outline.

The wind remembers how you move,
how heat collects where glances fall
desire gathers, groove by groove,
until the body knows it all.

Your name ignites along my chest,
a spark that travels, fierce and true.
May is a hunger unconfessed,
a slow eclipse that pulls me through.

And when your gaze dissolves the night,
the world turns molten, wild, awake
two hearts collide in silent light,
and May becomes the fire we make..

  1. Your poem clearly conveys the theme of awakening intense emotional and physical desire  a moment when a person surrenders to passion and loses control over themselves.
The symbolism is very effective.  May as a sign of inner awakening and unspoken hunger, light and shadow as intimacy and the presence of the other, wind as movement and the body’s memory, and fire as the peak of passion and complete union.
Your poem leaves a strong impression  the atmosphere and symbolism are very striking. It feels sincere, mature, and emotionally powerful.
