May the New Year shine with a light
that knows no borders or names,
may it touch every heart in the world
and remind us who we are in silence.
We are all brothers under the same sky,
children of the same hope and breath,
different paths, but the same thirst
for love, peace and a good tomorrow.
May hands join together instead of weapons,
may a brother be recognized by a glance,
may fear and old divisions cease,
may love be our common sign.
May light enter homes quietly,
bring health, peace and bread,
may every child dream carefree,
and every man find his own way.
May the world heal gently,
step by step, with heart and voice,
because when man returns to man,
God rejoices in each of us.
And may the New Year be a vow
to choose well, every day,
to remember: no one is a stranger
we are all brothers, one dream.
