Peace

I like the colour of nature:

Pink and green and blue;

I like the dreams that come to my sleep,

Smiles on children's faces;

I like the creativity that brings me so much happiness.

Poems and stories travel like birds.

Feel like a child,

Feel free.

I like the colours of the rainbow.

I like the rain;

I like the sea.

This is peace for me.

People from so many different countries

become my brothers and sisters...

শান্তি

আমি প্রকৃতির রঙ পছন্দ করি:

গোলাপী এবং সবুজ এবং নীল;

আমি আমার ঘুমের মধ্যে আসা স্বপ্ন পছন্দ করি,

শিশুদের মুখে হাসি;

আমি সৃজনশীলতা পছন্দ করি, যা আমাকে অনেক সুখ দেয়।

কবিতা ও গল্প পাখির মতো ঘুরে বেড়ায়।

শিশুর মত মনে হয়,

স্বাধীন মনে হয়।

আমি রংধনুর রং পছন্দ.

আমি বৃষ্টি পছন্দ করি;

আমি সমুদ্র পছন্দ করি।

এটা আমার জন্য শান্তি।

বিভিন্ন দেশের মানুষ

আমার ভাই বোন হয়ে যায়...

A book

A book, open its pages

A boy starts to read

And heroes come out of the chapters.

Weapons start to make noise

Bombs come down on buildings

Schools destroyed- vanish

The boy starts to cry....

Nobody hears it

They are all occupied, counting

their small green and blue papers.

So much paper,

So many bombs,

So many people occupied with things

That come and destroys

Everything...

The boy closes the book...

He takes another one,

And starts looking at the beautiful illustrations;

So Many flowers

And strange fruits,

And a lot of animals sitting

Around a big lake.

There is also a forest with big trees

And a big mountain

The chapter has a title:

‘The peaceful world of

Olivia’

The boy continues to read

and that afternoon was the most amazing

time in the world for him.

একটি বই

একটি বই, এর পৃষ্ঠাগুলি খুলে

একটি ছেলে পড়তে শুরু করে

এবং নায়করা অধ্যায় থেকে বেরিয়ে আসে।

অস্ত্রের শব্দ হতে থাকে

ভবনের উপর বোমা পড়ে

বিদ্যালয় ধ্বংস হয়- বিলুপ্ত

ছেলেটি কাঁদতে শুরু করে....

কেউ তা শোনে না

তারা সব মগ্ন, গননায় গণনায়

তাদের ছোট সবুজ এবং নীল কাগজ.

এত কাগজ,

এত বোমা,

এতগুলো মানুষ মগ্নবস্তুগত জিনিসেসে

যা আসে এবং ধ্বংস করে

সবকিছু...

ছেলেটি বইটি বন্ধ করে দেয়...

সে আরেকটি বই নেয়,

এবং সুন্দর চিত্রগুলি দেখতে শুরু করে;

এত ফুল

এবং অদ্ভুত ফল,

আর অনেক প্রাণী বসে আছে

একটটি বড় লেকের চারপাশে।

বড় বড় গাছের জঙ্গলও আছে

আর একটা বড় পাহাড়

অধ্যায়ের একটি শিরোনাম আছে:

'অলিভিয়ার শান্তিময় বিশ্ব’

ছেলেটি পড়তে থাকে

এবং সেই বিকেলটি ছেলেটির

জন্য ছিল পৃথিবীর সব চেয়েসুন্দর সময়।
