"Through the Eyes of A Child"


Elizabeth:

If the eyes are the mirror to our soul
Then what can you see in an innocent child's eyes?
Is there mere sensitivity or selfish ways
But if you dig deeper, there's more to discover.

Shahid:

Behold, thy innocent souls,
The future of our generations
Oh, Civilized Universe,
Take a look at your children
Who will bring pride to their nations.

Elizabeth:

I see hope when a child stares,
The trust he bequeaths to the elderly
Through his eyes I see the future,
Full of forgiveness and compassion.

Shahid:

We were born with rights to grow up in respect,
Don't take forgranted of our fragile hearts
Give us the education we need,
Don't lock us in a cage
Our souls can break at a tender age.

Elizabeth:

They say the look in the eyes of a child
Is a better teacher of the lessons of life,
Children are not concerned about the past,
They are not worried of the future
For they trust and live in the Now.

Shahid :

Our rights to live
We are to regain,
Although we are suffering in pain
We will not allow anyone,
To give us a burden again.

Elizabeth:

Let every child enjoy his rights,
Through his eyes, we can see wonder and surprise
That look of amazement is priceless,
A beautiful memory etched in time.

Shahid:

We are the core of humanity,
We will remove the darkness
In every surrounding places,
Through the power of our unity.

Elizabeth:

The future of the Earth depends on its children,
Our duty is to leave them a better world
Free of discrimination and injustice,
A world enveloped in authentic peace.

Shahid:

There is no doubt about it,
Make a stand and start with a single step
Protect our children's rights,
Let all unite
Take us all away from this dark night.

Elizabeth:

Feed the streetchildren roaming dark alleys,
Cloth them in clean dresses
They deserve to see a beautiful world
Where they are allowed to be free.

Shahid:

Treat every child as your own,
We will be an enlightened beauty
Don't judge us because of the clothes we wear,
Teach us not to be judgemental individuals.
